Central Idea: Discovering our body helps to understand ourselves.
Students learned vocabulary such as boy, girl, eyes, nose, mouth, hair, ears about the theme. Big posters and visuals were shown to them. They listened to the vocabularies, simple stuructures. They made repetitions of vocabularies and simple structures such as "My name is...", This is a boy". Revisions are very important for this age group. Students made boy and girl puppets. They told their names in English with these puppets. Students learned parts of the face. Big blank faces were distributed to them. They pasted wiggly eyes on them and they drew noses, eyes, ears on the faces. It was fun.
Songs are being taught to the students by using projection technology in our classrooms. Audio-Visual technique is very effective for the students. Songs play an important role in the development of young children learning a second language. Songs are very beneficial in terms of listening, speaking, learning vocabulary and sentence structures.

Öğrenciler erkek, kız, gözler, burun, saç, kulak gibi kelimeler öğrendiler. Büyük posterler ve görseller gösterildi. Kelimeleri ve basit cümleleri (Benim ismim..., Bu bir erkek gibi) dinleyerek tekrar ettiler. Tekrarlar bu yaş grubu öğrencileri için çok önemlidir.Öğrenciler erkek ve kız kuklaları yaptılar. Bu kuklalar ile isimlerini İngilizce söylediler. Yüzün bölümlerini de öğrendiler. Büyük boş yüzler öğrencilere dağıtıldı , üzerine oynayan gözler yapıştırdılar ve burunlar, gözler, kulaklar çizdiler. Çok eğlenceliydi.
Sınıflarımızda şarkılar projeksiyon teknolojisi kullanılarak öğrencilere öğretiliyor. Görsel-İşitsel teknik çok etkili oluyor. Şarkılar da çocukların ikinci dili öğrenmelerinde önemli bir rol üstleniyor. Şarkılar dinleme, konuşma, kelime, cümle yapıları açısından çok faydalı oluyor.
